I'm dreaming of a.........

.....Not a White Christmas (yet, at least).  But, in Oklahoma we are preparing (or better be prepared, 'cus it's here) for cold weather.  The days of 110 degrees is long gone.  I'm personally finding myself wishing them back.  I vow to never despise the heat again. 

JAK decided to embrace the brrr, and cook something up that would warm our tummies.  I've been dreaming of this dish since "J" first made it (which has been months ago).  So, was personally pumped (or "warmed") when I heard it was on the menu for the evening!

This dish starts with fresh carrots.

Onions and garlic.  All gets cooked down.

Several meats (veal being the star) gets added.

And cooked for hours and hours.  Our loyal readers, you know where this is headed....

The bolognese complete!  Isn't it just a sight for sore eyes?

Fresh pasta, you got it.  Nothing but the best.

Yep, homemade bread.

Finished product.  Gosh, it was better than what I've even been dreaming (since last having it). 

The noodles are cooked to perfection, and the sauce is so rich and deep with flavor.  What was best?  There was enough for me to take left-overs (which I enjoyed for lunch the next day).
